Sarandha Chauhan (Practice Manager)
Sarandha is the Chief Executive, Financial and Operating officer of Caritas Medical Centre in her overarching role as Practice Manager. She has been working at Caritas since its inception in April 2006. Sarandha is also an Accreditation Surveyor for AGPAL.
Sarandha holds a Bachelor of Science (majoring in Chemistry and Botany), Master of Business Administration (Marketing major) and Higher Diploma in Software Engineering. She also possesses employment experience in an IT Security Training Company (as a marketing Co-Ordinator) and Mailing House (as a Client Service and Account Manager). Sarandha has been awarded a Statement of Attainment in the Leadership & Management course from the University of New England.
Sarandha regularly engages in professional development experiences pertaining to practice management and business administration, bringing a wealth of experience to patient care. In particular, Sarandha has expertise in the administrative interface between patients and other agencies – be it for work related injuries, CTP claims, private and public hospital care facilities and private consultants’ rooms as they relate to general practice patients and their needs. Sarandha’s feedback and review has supported General Practice Advocacy for refinement of referral templates for St George Public Hospital outpatient clinics further enhancing equitable access to care for our community as well as volunteering services to assist the St George Division of General Practice.
About Me:
“I’m incredibly proud to be part of the Caritas family. Dr. Chauhan (my husband) and I began our practice in 2006, building on the foundation of his mother’s small clinic in a quiet Riverwood street. Since then, we’ve made significant strides to establish and operate our current facility. This growth has been made possible by the unwavering support of our loyal patients and dedicated staff. We’ve evolved from a solo practice to a team of two doctors, five staff members, two allied health providers, and four consulting rooms. The journey has had its challenges, but the hard work has been worth it, as reflected in the wonderful feedback we receive from our patients.
As a migrant, I have a deep appreciation for multiculturalism. I enjoy engaging with our patients about their cultures, festivals, food, and personal experiences—there’s so much to learn from the diverse backgrounds we encounter. I look forward to hearing about their travels, culinary adventures, and shopping tips. You might even catch me conversing with patients in my mother tongue, Hindi”.
Hobbies and Interests:
“I cherish spending time at home with my four kids—two human and two furry “kids.” The furry kids, of course, are the more adorable ones; they don’t talk back or argue, so no bias here!
When I’m not working in my home office, I enjoy arts and crafts activities like colouring, dot painting, and puzzles. You might even spot one of my creations in the practice! I have a special interest in crochet, knitting, embroidery, and stitching. I enjoy playing board games with my kids whenever they have time. For relaxation, I love watching TV. If you want to chat about a movie or a series on Netflix or Prime, or even Bollywood gossip, I’m all ears! I’m also a big fan of Bollywood dancing. Having trained as a student and taught dance at my daughter’s school has deepened my love for it, and I try to engage in this hobby whenever I can.
I take pride in my organisational skills—think folders, colour coding, and labelling. I’m always on the lookout for new and innovative ways to enhance the patient experience and make it as smooth and efficient as possible.

Donna Devine (Practice Nurse)
Donna graduated from Edinburgh Napier University, Scotland, with a Bachelor of Science in Adult Nursing. She brings extensive experience in nursing care, spanning both the U.K. and Australia, with a strong focus on pre- and post-acute invasive surgery. Her expertise covers a wide range of specialties, including upper gastrointestinal, liver, colorectal, bariatric and general surgery/medicine.
Donna specialises in acute and basic wound care, post-operative ongoing care, stoma therapy, bariatrics and all areas of general nursing. Her commitment to patient well-being goes beyond clinical expertise. She is a dedicated and compassionate nurse who takes great pride in ensuring patients receive high-quality care tailored to their individual needs.
At Caritas Medical Centre, Donna plays a vital role in guiding patients through their recovery journey with empathy and professionalism. She collaborates closely with the allied healthcare team to ensure a seamless and holistic approach to patient care. With her deep understanding of surgical recovery and wound management, she provides expert support to patients navigating post-operative healing, ensuring optimal outcomes and comfort. Donna’s passion for nursing is reflected in her dedication to enhancing each patient’s healthcare experience, fostering trust and delivering care with compassion and precision.
Donna consults at Caritas Medical Centre on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 8:30am to 12:30pm
Fasiha Batool (Senior Medical Receptionist)
Fasiha joined Caritas Medical Centre in December 2020 as a Junior Office Assistant and has since advanced to the role of Senior Receptionist. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Technology Sydney, equipping her with strong analytical skills and a keen understanding of professional communication.
With extensive experience in customer service and leadership, gained through her work at the International Convention Centre Sydney and her previous role as a teacher at her community Saturday school, Fasiha brings a high level of professionalism, efficiency and warmth to her interactions with patients and colleagues. At Caritas Medical Centre, she plays a vital role in maintaining smooth operations, ensuring that patients receive attentive service and administrative processes run seamlessly. Her ability to balance legal studies with hands-on healthcare administration makes her a valuable asset to the team, fostering a welcoming and well-organised environment.
Kathlynn Nguyen (Medical Receptionist)
Kathlynn joined the Caritas Medical Centre team in early 2023. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) at the University of Sydney, where she is developing a deep understanding of patient care and rehabilitation. With a background in hospitality and customer service, Kathlynn brings warmth, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills to her role, ensuring patients feel supported and valued during their visits.
At Caritas Medical Centre, Kathlynn’s dedication to patient-centered care is evident in her ability to create a welcoming environment and facilitate smooth interactions between patients and staff. Her studies in occupational therapy equip her with a keen awareness of accessibility and patient needs, allowing her to contribute meaningfully to administrative processes and patient engagement initiatives. Outside of work and studies, she enjoys cooking, reading, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Madhavi Chauhan (Medical Receptionist) 
Madhavi joined Caritas Medical Centre in 2020 as a junior receptionist. Madhavi is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws and Arts, majoring in Performing Arts, at Macquarie University. With a strong foundation in critical thinking and persuasive communication, she has honed her skills through active involvement in debating and public speaking. Her passion for the performing arts extends beyond academics, as she regularly participates in university theatre productions, showcasing her talents in acting, singing, and dancing.
At Caritas Medical Centre, Madhavi brings her exceptional communication skills and ability to engage diverse audiences to support patient-centered initiatives. Her background in law equips her with analytical and problem-solving skills that contribute to administrative efficiency and patient advocacy. With a natural ability to connect with others, she plays a key role in fostering a warm and welcoming environment, ensuring that patients feel informed and supported throughout their healthcare journey.
